Election Protection
Since 2006, MOVPC has coordinated Missouri's statewide nonpartisan Election Protection program in partnership with the national Election Protection Coalition. This includes staffing the 866-OUR-VOTE hotline with attorneys and monitoring polls across Missouri to provide immediate assistance to voters, including advocacy and emergency litigation.
Our Program
Our Election Protection Program has three parts:

LEGAL: Trained experts who handle voters' questions and problems on the 1-866-OUR-VOTE hotline.

FIELD: Volunteers who staff polling places to hand out information to voters and refer them to the 1-866-OUR-VOTE hotline if needed.

ONLINE: Volunteers who monitor social media sites online to find voters who have posted about their questions or problems as well as root out misinformation and disinformation about voting-related issues.
How you can help:

All volunteers receive thorough training tailored to their position as well as information about Missouri voting laws and procedures. Legal volunteers will be assigned to the Missouri Hotline Command Centers; Field Volunteers will receive polling place assignments at a prioritized polling place in the volunteer's community, and Social Media Monitors will be asked to monitor the social media sites that they use.
